Default screen magnifying ZOOM ZOOM

Anyone who has a Mac should try using the Screen Magnifying program in Universal Access control panel. You can zoom in and out with a keyboard shortcut and it's great for zooming in on online videos that don't offer full screen controls. I can't tell you how useful this tool is, you really need to check it out. It's not at all like the screen magnifier in Windows.

Question: Does anyone have knowledge or a comparable program that runs just as smoothly as the Mac OS X built-in magnifier that works on Windows? Please don't suggest the Ease of Access Magnifier (it's useless).

it works for fire-fox, but I don't think it works on other programs. A quicker way to zoom in and out in fire-fox is to hold control and use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out.

I have a Microsoft keyboard with a zoom lever and volume buttons on the left end. The keyboard zoom lever works with everything I have tried so far ( open office, ulead photo impact, etc.) but the CTRL plus + or - seems to work in all browsers I have tried.

There are some here:
Magnifiers Home Links: Download_Software/Screen_Magnifiers/Windows_Freeware_and_shareware
I haven't tried any of them though

i tried the program DesktopZoom -- DON'T TRY IT! it took hold of my computer and i couldn't figure out how to zoom out 300x! --i had to force restart the computer :-(

i have a confession to make, y'all can laugh and laugh and laugh, but i love watching my chickens on The View ABC.com: The View Video Page
that's the main reason i want a screen magnifier, so i can see Whoopie in full screen.
