Unhappy Can i transfer Hardware drivers to a slave drive?

OK so i got a new computer because my old motherboard copped out and it was cheaper to buy a referb computer... so i get this new computer and boot it up and it has vista (disgustingly enough i need to buy a full version of Xp to upgrade to XP)... anyways i tried to just put my old hard drive in as the master and it wont boot up because it has Virtually NO hardware drivers... I am wondering if there is a way to transfer the hardware drivers off of my new hard drive to my old one so i can just use my old one as a master and not lose all my files/programs and whatnot... can anyone help?

I am not sure what you are trying to do here. If you are trying to put the drivers you have now with Vista on the drive that has XP that won't work becasue you need different drivers for XP then for Vista. However you can download the XP drivers on your old hard drive and try booting into safe mode and update them like that. I am not sure if you will be able to boot into safe mode of XP though, but its worth a shot.

Why not just set your old drive as a slave, you will be able to access all your old data then.
