Default Re: help with deleting a folder

Linux is an Open Source operating system. A Linux live CD is basically an operating system on a disk that can be run just in the RAM of your computer, i.e. it lets you try out the OS without actually having to install it, it can be handy for deleting files or problems that Windows cant sort out. However I don't think its the easiest option for you to use.

Try this, Click on Start Button, then click on RUN then type in CMD. This should then open the command prompt window (black with white writing)

Now, using the new command prompt window thats opened we need to change the directory to your desktop, you will need to find out this directory by checking in windows explorer for the directory it should be something like C:/********/********/Desktop. Once you have found the directory type CD into the command prompt window followed by the directory you have just found for your desktop.

Next type dir - which will list all files and folders in this directory. Now type in rmdir Alvin.And.The.Chipmunks[2007]DvDrip[Eng]-aXXo this should remove the folder for you.

I really don't think it can be explained any better than this, so hopefully you will have some success with this.
