Default Help need

Buddies,
i got a problem... the hidden folders located in my hard disk drives are not showing...in spite of turning on "Show hidden files and folders" from Folder>View Option, I am using XP service pack 2. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What hidden folders are you looking for? Also are you the admin?

Yeah. A user with limited control will have issues with a lot of things like that. This is done to protect the system from limited users messing things up. A lot of times you would be on a limited user account if you were at work, or at a public location. If this computer is yours, its possible you might also be a limited user with limited privileges.

Also theres another setting called hide protected system files that you can uncheck. You probobly don't want to do that, since you didn't know that. Most likely, as the others suggested, you are not an Administrator on that particular machine.
