| Hello primreamer, Firstly - welcome to CompuForums. We provide our computer help for free, so we would highly appreciate it if you could help us. You can do this by answering other people's questions, or if you are not so technically-minded, post in our general lounge forum. Alternatively you can purchase a premium membership to help contribute to the rising running costs of this site. If you can't help us then we can't help you. It would also be appreciated in the future if you could be a little more descriptive with your thread titles and not use ALL CAPS. Office 2003 can work with Vista, but it takes a little bit of special effort as a lot of people have reported problems with it. You should consider Ghost375's suggestion of OpenOffice, or purchasing Office 07 - or switching your computer to XP and gaining a speed boost as well as 100% compatibility.

The bloodstained history. Material desire. Hunger. Sexual Drive. Desire to dominate. Desire for fame. Humanity. As long as there is a body, desires will be born. The human ego will never disappear as long as desire remains present. Humans will continue to fight to fulfill their bodies desires and it will never end. At this rate there is no future. |

| Task Number One: Get rid of Vista! It's unbelievable the amount of complaints I've heard about it. Practically everyone I know has something nasty to say about it. On the other hand, Windows XP (Professional not Home) is said to be quite good. As a matter of fact, you would actually get less problems if you switched to Windows 98, believe it or not! It's quite reliable and a number of individuals and organizations here on the island still use it. Anyway, you already have Vista and might as well make do with it as best you can. I've never used OpenOffice but I've heard it's quite good from several sources. Having been accustomed to using Office 97 and 2003, the default layout of Office 2007 was confusing to me the one time I had a look at it on my nephew's new PC. For the life of me, I couldn't find out how to print what was typed. I was in a rush and the solution was probably staring me in the face but at the time I just wanted to quickly test out his new printer I'd just hooked up. I should've just typed something in trusty old Notepad instead! Conclusion: Go with OpenOffice, primreamer 'cause it's FREE! ;-) |
