Anim8or Free 3D Animation Software
This is a free, easy to use, 3-D graphics/animation program. You create objects with different 3-D figures and take pictures of them, then make them move in animations with scene mode..
I just thought about showing this when I was going to check on versions, since mine is kind of out of date.

Well, you'll definitely learn. Anim8or.com has a manual and many tutorials to get you started.

i would dl it but it wont let me... does this run on Vista?

"from the website" Theoretically Anim8or should work under the Vista operating system without any problem. However the OS and graphics drivers have a lot of new things to do to make this happen with the added complexity of Vista's new compositing desktop. There are several things you can do if you experience problems with this.

1. Unfortunately there are a lot of problems in many drivers. If it's not working for you, the first thing to do is see if there is a newer driver for your graphics card. QUite a few people have reported that a newer driver has fixed their Vista problems.

2. Another thing you can try is running Anim8or WinXP compatible mode. Right-click on anim8or.exe in the file manager and select XP Compatible mode in the menu that pops up. This causes Vista to run Anim8or in a mode that is more like Windows XP which more drivers can handle.

i have just tried to install this myself and no matter what i do it wont install. Im running vista, so perhaps this just doesnt work on vista after all.

Maybe you should contact the "cre8or" or anim8or and tell him you have problems with installing it on Vista. (I don't know what to do other than that, I don't use any systems with Vista) There should be a page on anim8or.com for contacting him.

mhmm, and hence why Vista...yet agian... makes me want to smash my head through a wall. thanks, maybe ill check it out on my XP pc.

some of us dont have a choice. my laptop will not run vista no matter how much i try, so i have to put up with running xp as a virtual OS

so wait... you want vista? its really garbage for the time being unless you have build 6000, thenits pretty nice. but so far XP has been the greatest OS for me, no complaints! but on the linux side, Ubuntu would be the ultimatum.

sorry my mistake. it was supposed to say no matter who i try i cannot get my laptop to run xp. there is a problem with hd audio drivers, i just cannot get any sound when using xp. i have had lots of people look at it and spent hours myself trying but have now given up and using vista
