| your computer is inffected with a virus by the sounds of it. If you have a virus program installed try and run that, but in my experience you may not be able to even do this if your receiving that error message. you need to try and do a system repair, not a restore but a repair. details of how to do this are at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u...ps/doug92.mspx if you need any more help then just ask |
| ||||
| probably best to do a repair then. |

| Found one reference at: InCode Solutions - Latest Dangerous threats! date added is claimed 12 Aug 2007, so one would expect any AV to pick it up. Try running AV in safe mode. Failing that do as JustinGH said. |

| That is not always a good idea. Most DLL's are registered (have entries in the registry), and deleting them alone will not solve problems. It appears that it could be the System File Checker warning you about the problem, which yes, could be a virus. Have you tried the Trend Micro's HouseCall? If you can, do that. But more and more, advanced virus' are blocking AV software, and Update services. I'd recommend downloading McAfee's STINGER, and running it from a DOS boot disk. It is small enough to work from a floppy, and powerful enough to find a lot of problems. McAfee Threat Center Stinger usually focus on only the current most common/hazardous problems, that is why it is small. |

| I would go with McAfee as well. Sometimes even when you delete viruses they will reappear right before your eyes. I have had this happen to me before. "Nail.exe" was it's name. It would create pop-ups regardless of my settings. McAfee removed it on April Fool's Day after I updated.

| http://downloads.andymanchesta.com/R...ools/SDFix.exe Here is the fix just unpack it to default C:\ Then run the *.bat file in SDFix directory on C:\ A Free Scan is always a good start... its not a locally installed program that can be junked by malware... If you want you can always ddl a copy of SpyBot S&D Go to www.safer-networking.org and download a copy of SpyBot S&D ClamWin Works as well...
