Default How to install Java softwares onto Samsung SGH-E900?

Hey Everyone!

I own a Samsung SGH-E900 mobile phone and I would like to install Java softwares onto it, but every time I get a .jar file it says 'unsupported file type'. I guess there must be a way to solve this problem. Would you please tell me how to solve this? and I would be grateful if you also told me what things I should consider before installing a software (whether it will be compatible with my phone and will run perfectly or anything that is important)
Thank you for your help in advance!

P.S. Please when you are about to help, write down every single step, thanks.

Hi again szilard,

Welcome back to the forum - I hope to see you here more often in the future! Remember, if you only ever come here with questions, then the community will be unable to help you, so please post in some other topics as well as your own.

What software exactly are you trying to load onto your phone, and what method are you doing it? I own a Samsung phone myself [J600] and I usually just upload jars to a site like tagtag.com and download it.

I have tried to install some dictionary programs and a chat program as well, but none of them worked saying 'unsupported file type'. I've read somewhere that a jad file is also necessary and have also downloaded a jadmaker which I think is for Nokias and it didn't work that way either. I guess I'm getting closer to the solution but if you could tell me what exactly I should do to make java programs run on my mobile, I'd be very grateful. (I have a data cable of course)

Try downloading them from the web - I couldn't make java files run on my Samsung either without downloading them, it was complaining that the files were invalid. You can use a site like tagtag.com to upload them and then download them on your phone.
