I use Gnome on Linux Ubuntu, I have 4 desktop (can have many more), sys monitoring applet.

Anybody who upgrades from XP to Vista will not be happy. People with new hardware, will.

Putting Viper stripes on that old Buick will not make it a Viper.

I am sure all you Vista haters out there said the same thing when XP came out.

You will all come around. ;-)

well for all you linux nuts out there.... (vista is still better than it!!!!!!!) but xp is still the best ( with a few hacks of course)

and why are there 2 of theese threads..... there is one in general chat tha was started 2 months prior to this one

I think the real question is how can you say vista is better then anything Vista is right up there with Windows ME. What makes Vista better?? Please explain!

well for one ... it runs all apps without needing extra programs like wine etc to modify them , it will run all of my server programs perfectly ... and number 3. it looks awesome
but looks dont mean anyhting really.... i guess its all about how user friendly an os is and i think xp is the best .. then vista and maybe linux after mac etc

I guess that depends on what your system needs are I don't need to run any special programs to do anything with my Debian System

i do , i use a specail remote access program so ic an access servers at work and manage them and this app only works on windows

Windows is great, other O/S's confuse me, I like to be able to buy something for my PC and know its going to work... Vista will be great when service packs are released!
