Default Microsoft eMail Blunders

I'm subscribed to Microsoft's Office Accounting. The program is free to download and use, which I did, and subscribed to the newsletter. The Office Accounting program has a real nice GUI, lots of nice features, and a lot of Advanced features that I don't need -- the Advanced features are part of the Professional Accounting package.

Okay, here is one of Microsoft's email blunders, that I most recently received:

Dear Microsoft Customer,

Would you like to pay only for the Office Accounting features you actually use? With our special Professional and Technology Services Feature Pack offer, you can unlock just the features you need for your business. Get the nine features of Office Accounting Professional geared to professional and technology services firms for only $79.95: ...

Why pay for features you'll never use? With the Professional and Technology Services Feature Pack, you only pay for the features you need! Hurry, this offer will expire on July 8, 2007. Buy the Professional and Technology Services Feature Pack today for only $79.95! [(list of all nine features follow)]
Am I stupid, or does NOT the offer say that I can select only the features I actually use? Here, they offer no "selected features" but rather the entire Office Accounting Professional Package.

What am I missing here? Nothing, I think. Maybe Microsoft executives have their heads up their butt, again.

I think it's just worded a little funky. I think what it means is that you can buy up to all 9 features, but if you don't want to, you don't have to buy all of them. I think Microsoft could have worded it better, but it still makes sense to me. I may be wrong though.

Mod on trial,
Jeremy

Possibly so. But I read the email 4 or 5 times looking for a price of each feature, and there is none. It's just simply $79.95 for them all. Who knows, maybe they made an error. But on first impression, after I read it, I laughed thinking how stupid they are for offering individual features packaged as a bundle. Kind of redundant, you think?
