| HI I am wanting to back up my hdd contents with dvd-rw but when I burn them using nero or using burn4free theres either nothing on the disk or the exploer.exe freezes. I want to do this before I go and buy vista home premium. What am I doing wrong. From my understanding you can backup data using dvd-rw. Thanks for any help. |

| Hi there Zackkoss, Firstly, welcome to CompuForums. I hope that you can visit our forum often in the future and post - rather than just receiving our help and advice, and then never visiting again. We provide our help for free, and all we ask in return is that you participate in our forum and refer your friends, or consider a premium membership. Not giving back to the community is like stealing - we provide our time for free and hope to have some of yours spent on the site in return. What exactly are you trying to do? Put everything on your hard drive onto a CD-RW disk?

| Have you been burning disks before without problems? Have you tried another brand of disks?

| Was the drive in the computer when you purchased it or did you install the drive yourself?
