anyone tell me whyi get a message saying there is a problem with my audio configuration, when i try and laod itunes version 7?

What is the exact error that comes up? [a screenshot will be helpful]
Have you changed any settings recently?
What have you tried in order to fix the problem so far?
Was it working in the past?

the problem seems to have occurred after i have been having trouble getting my friends ipod 4G nano to work on his comp.

originally every thing worked with the new version of itunes, 7.2 i think (the latest one) however the pod wouldnt work with the new verion, so some other members suggested loading old version of itunes onto comp.

so i took new version off the comp and downloaded version 7. but when i go to install it comes up with grey box saying "itunes cannot load do to an error with the audio configuration".

i havnt touched anything to do with the config, just took off the new version and put the old one on.

soz dont have screen shot of message as not at his house, will get one and post tomoz if any help.

comp uses xp 2002, service pack 2

any help would be appreciated.
