for some reason when i go to open microsoft word it will not open when click on it nothing happens. but excel works what is wrong

The icon could have lost the target information. Right click it and select properties, it should have a target value of something like Microsoft office2003,

You could always try going through Program files and sending another shortcut to the desktop.

Try installing your Microsoft Office disk and clicking the "Reinstall" or "Repair" option. This will be the easiest fix for you.

Yeah try the repair option, i know this isnt entirely related but i had nokia pc suite playing up yesterday and its working now thanks to its repair fuction, some of the files may have just corrupted
