Question Access 2003 HELP!!!!

Ok so i tried using the office clean tool, i believe it is offcln.exe, that comes with office 2003 to try and get rid of office 97 apps. on all our computers at work. I ran it with the aggressive switch and the quiet switch, needless to say when you do that it deletes some files that office 2003 uses so i tried doing a detect and repair, after i did that everything worked except access 2003 would not open any databases and everytime you open it, it wants to try to configure it. I was able to re-register two registry keys and now i can open databases again but it still wants to configure everytime you open access 2003. All the other apps in office 2003 are working fine just not access. Any body know how to get access configured correctly and not try to do it everytime you open it?

Thanks for the Help,

Jason

Hi there,
It's great to see you here again. I hope you can post more often

I too have had problems like this and the only way I got it working was reformatting my computer. However, since this may not be convient in your case, the only solution I can think of is using an application that completley uninstalls software, and reinstall. Make sure the first application you load up is Access, and activate office with it.

If you upgraded from 97 it's probably a windows registry key. I had the same problem when I upgraded. I contacted Microsoft and requested the Microsoft Access 2.0 Converter to convert my databases to 03

it wasn't an upgrade, we had 97 and 03 loaded at the same time and now we have all the dataebases converted and want to get rid of the 97.
