hello,

newbie to forum. I'm looking into some good video editing software...looking for speed in opening big movie files(dvix,mpeg4 etc...)..currently use ulead for editing...winavi converts pretty quick but no help on editing. Any help would be appreciated.

For basic video editing, Windows Movie Maker does the job.

But for more advanced stuff, you may want to try Avid FreeDV:
