Post Google Apps

Does anyone know much about Google Apps? Google Apps

A guy I know who designs and hosts websites says he always use google apps for the email accounts and the sites sit on Google servers at a fraction of the cost and never go down. If Google servers ever went down then there is probably a bigger problem in the world.

I knew about Google docs but I didn't know they did this Apps stuff as well.

I guess with Microsoft declining to takeover Yahoo that leaves the door open for Google and who knows how big they will eventually become?

Hey there! From what I know, Google Apps work really well! You can use GMail, Google documents, a calendar.. all kinds of stuff! I actually like using Google for those types of things! With the apps, you can associate a domain with it.. And- I think for the most part, it's free for families, non-profit organizations, etc.. Check it out!

Google Apps is great, but if you sell hosting and use it to serve your client's emails it's pretty unprofessional...

His clients are not-for-profits, he doesn't charge for his time and he sets them up this way so they get the cheapest deal. Well, that's what he says - should I be suspicious? He seems pretty straight up and doesn't try to hide the fact he does this.
