If you are talking about web proxies then I recommend ipHideAway - Unblock MySpace, YouTube, Bebo, Facebook, MSN Web Messenger and much more!, however if you are talking about real proxy servers for use with internet routing I would recommend SQUID on a Linux base. I think the term proxy gets really mis used these days because of web proxies. They have sorted twisted the meaning of proxy servers.

Anyone know a good proxy for Google searches? The parental controls are set too tight on my machine and it won't even let me look up "How to use Facebook Mobile" anymore

If it's your machine, you should be able to loosen the controls.

technically its mine. I paid for the parts and did all the work. My parents bought McCaffy anti virus last year and they don't trust my computer when it runs the free version of AVG because they think you get what you pay for, so they put it on my machine and installed the parental controls just to be safe. I don't mind them at all, but when it starts blocking simple Google searches, I get pissed.
