I'd like to say I'm very technical but I still have stuff learn. That being said, I'm still far from somewhat technical.

Very Technical. I'm a software developer plus an EDI coordinator (and also the local "basis" guy).

Im very technical, i've been working with computers since I was about 9 years old, than got into learning about computer parts at age 10-11 then once I was done with that I went on to more advanced things such as Hacking,Exploiting, all that good stuff from 12-13 and now im pretty much taking it as it goes. Mostly know everything about computers even some programming languages.

I have a good theoretical background, but have very little technical skills. I do not have anyone to help me and do not want to screw up my own machine, so I was wondering if anyone has any books that they find helpful to someone with little technical skills.

I learned a lot of what I know from CompuForums. But, I also have just picked up a lot of it as I go. There really is no one place that I know that could a beginner. Classes are also very good for gaining technical knowledge. But like I said, I don't know one place to find a lot of technical knowledge. Try googling anything you want to know, or ask us folks on CompuForums.

I just learn things as I go along. I am self taught in 6 programming languages, software and everything I know about computers. Hardware is my weakest point, but I'm still pretty good at it.

My best knowledge is network penetration and software, but I'm good with OS's, programming, web development, graphics, AutoCAD and all that sorta stuff that only requires a keyboard or mouse.
