Where can I watch shows online safely? My brother wants Drake and Josh and Ned's Declassified, My mom wants TLC type shows I want Psych, Monk, John Doe, and World Series of Poker. You guys know any sites? I already know Peekvid, and Alluc. Thanks

You won't be able to legally watch shows online legally. The money's got to be made somehow.

What you can do, however, is capture TV to your hard drive and transfer it to any portable media players you own, etc. as long as you don't share it - that's fair use.

I see, one question though, what about sites like nick.com? They let you watch shows for free, but only Nick shows.

That's fine - they're supporting those with ads and you may watch them, because they are from the production company. Often you can find full-length videos on YouTube but they may or may not be officially-licensed ones.

O.k. That's cool. So, sites like Peekvid and Alluc are not legal? Also where do you guys reccomend that is cheap? One other question, are there any other legal ones like nick, that are not kid ones like some with Monk, Stunt Junkies, TLC programs stuff like that?

I am using Netflix to rent DVDs much better than streaming videos.

I don't want videos I want episodes that the people I currently use for rentals do not have.

Well, I know that on the websites of networks like Fox and ABC, you can watch recent episodes of current shows--I haven't done this, but one of my buddies does it all the time--I don't think there are any commercials within the episode either. But the window that the player opens up in has ads. That's an alternative for watching shows, but I think episodes are removed over time.
