Default Increaseing letter size.

Hi guys, This is probably going to be easy for you guys to answer, but I can't seem to find where to fix the problem. I just got through installing a new Grafixs card in my computer (ATI Saphire Radeon 9600 Pro) Seems to be working fine except now all the letters are about 1/64 to 1/32 of an inch tall as well as the beginning Icons. I know I can go to the (View) button and click increase, but when I surf to somewhere else, I have to go back to the (View) button, and repeat again and again each time. Is there a permanent solution where you go into (Start) then someplace else to fix this? The card is a 128MB, 4X 8X with a VS 20" LCD monitor, in case you need that info. Any help would be great. Thanks

Ok, do you know what resolution the graphics setting is on? Because that could quite possibly be the problem, especially if you have it set larger than the monitor can handle, also check out the refresh rate, that might be incompatible too.

Yes, it seems as if the resolution that was set for the monitor is too high--higher than the native resolution of the monitor is (which would cause everything to be very small). I don't know what the resolution of the monitor should be--it should state that in the user manual for your monitor, but if I were a betting man, I'd put my money on that idea. Hope it works.

Hi Guy's, Well I checked the Monitor resolutions which are the same as what the card is set at. Both at 1680X1050. So can you suggest any other solutions? Card is Radeon 6900 pro saphire, 128MB, AGP,4x 8x. Mother Board is a K8VGA-M. It came with a CD, but it acted up, so I downloaded the update version from the ATI site. Works alot better, but still have to go to (View> Increase) to make the letters at least 1/16" tall. Thanks

Are the letters small on all applications, or just your internet browser? And which browser are you using? Most let you set a big default letter size.

Hi, As per your recommendations, I switched over to FireFox. However I still have IE7 also. (I still haven't figured out where the Print sign is up above for FF), but that's another question. Yes, the small letters appear everywhere I surf the internet with, including my e-mail.

Well, both IE and Outlook Express use the same setting for letter size - if no other programs have this issue then it should be the IE setting. Does Firefox also have the letter size issue?
