Just interested on everyones opinions on the new PayPal mobile service that is being offered now?
It seems like a greaat idea but I wonder how long it will be before we hear of the first scams!

Its when you loose your phone or something silly. I can see in my crystal ball that when it becomes more established (the phone service) there will be lots of problems arising which may cause payouts from paypal.

We send things over the phone line everyday, assuming you use the internet everyday. Sending things over the phone, which is basically the same as the internet can't be any worse can it?

i dont use PayPal so i wouldnt care less what they do.

In my opinion, Paypal is just a medium which happens to be a very good method of online transactions and even underground operations, hence the huge amount of theft and illegal activity was a bit inevitable. And although their people should be doing more in that war, I believe a fair share of care and thought should be provided by the customers as well, so as not to be scammed, thieved or be involved in not-so-lawful transactions.

Paypal mobile might just make things worse, but it also makes things better... we're sure to see at least one scam this year involving this new feature, but whether or not it is actually more effective is another question. If the practicality of the service outweighs the security risks by bounds then it may be worth trying.
