What do you think the internet will be like in 10 years time?

Personally, I think that websites will have a lot more video and audio content, rather than simply text. Also, I think websites will become more like programs - with their own interface, rather than simply hyperlinked.

Also I think there will be more use of Ajax.

Well I just think that PHP 7 will be out, internet explorer 52 and firefox 5... but I dont actually think it will change to much, just nicer flash sites and faster speeds. For instance London, Manchester and Birmingham residents see here... http://www.bethere.co.uk

Faster, and sites will be more interactive and more like traditional desktop applications.

(I.E. AJAX is the beginning of a new trend in user interactivity if you ask me)

they keep pushing Vista back .. they might have it XD

but anyway.. the internet will be everywhere, you could be standing in the middle of a city , or the middle of a feild .. just wipout your notebook and there we go instant internet :O

each website will be its own OS with apps built with-in .. in my opinion

Hopefully all sites will be compliant with all browsers, and all browsers become standard to code. I’ve had way to many problems in the past with my sites not showing up in say Opera, and Internet Explorer.

I'm not sure exactly, but I feel it will be a huge part of our lives in 10 years.

one thing for sure is that the internet would be alot faster, heaps of more then just 2 billion websites. AND alot more viruses.

I hope to see a more user activity interface. We will probably have a few new languages along with AJAX by then. I also think there will be more virtual websites out there. Maybe instead of driving to work you'll be able to work more with virtual machines at home. Alot of big companies already have virtual customer service through chat. We will probably see a more interactive service through camera's in the next few years.

10 years time is a very long time for IT. I think we will not be able to guess what it will be like in 4 years time.
