Default Intel's new chip!

Can't wait till the new cores come out!

Although the various Merom and Conroe chips will differ by cache size and other attributes, the fact that they will share similar architectures will likely help streamline some engineering issues for Intel.

Have you seen their new Presler core? 65nm and 4 threads of pure awesomeness....too bad it barely beats out the Athlon X2 4800+. So no Athlon killer yet...

But the overclocks are nuts. Intel is ahead of AMD by a little over a year. AMD still has yet to perfect their 90nm platform before moving onto 65nm. But Conroe and Yonah is going to change everything for Intel.

Your comparing apples to oranges. Intel is built for stability, AMD is built for speed. My last Intel server ran 24/7 x 365 x 2.5 years, and it never had a single problem. I built a AMD ATHLON 64 2800+ Server and I had nothing but problems. I ended up selling it. I didn't feel like fighting it to get it to run right.
