Default recovering your data from scratched dvd

i use a program called badcopy to recovery data from scaratched dvd's this make take some time if its seriously scaratched.. any one have any other programs that they wud like to giv props to?

Well, I use a hardware solution that actaully repairs the disk - well worth buying it!

very nice thanks u soo much!! when i get some cash im gonna buy that.. does it repair all sorts of damages even if its really bad? its great to have one in handy.. also is there any replacement parts u gotaa buy for this or is it a lifeime usage.

Not sure. I just brought the bog standard SkipDr.

It has a few consumables, but they last for ages and you usually get a pack of spares.

Shops can do this for me for a little fee, toys r us do it in basingstoke, interesting prgorams, how do they read it?

They have some way of reading fine data, as in wear or tear, or they have some kind of reading device that can read stuff that have been sratched up and such.

But, I think you need special stuff for it, instead of your good old drives to read very damaged disks.

When I have a scratched disk I can normally polish out the scratches with polishing stuff and a peice of cloth like from an old T shirt.

That is very interesting. I have a couple I need to redo and they are pretty bad. I will have to try this.
