Default Mobo probs...

I recently bought a very expensive Mecer extreme rc410l mobo(with no warrenty or anythin), and the thing doesn't seem 2 come on... The fans power up and cpu and northbridge heat up but the screen does not come on... The cpu, ram and powersupply all work fine(tested and used)... Is there anyone who can tell me what i can try 2 do 2 fix it?

Dumb questions first. Did you connect a monitor and was it turned on? Don't laugh it's happened many times before. I believe that the graphics are onboard for this mobo. Assuming the monitor is plugged in and turned on you should have only one stick of ram. Everything else should be disconnected (hard drive, dvd, etc.). Does it post? Any beeps and how many? You may also want to take the mobo out of the case and place it on a non conductive surface and do the same thing again. Good Luck! RC410L-800 RC410L-800 PENTIUM D Micro ATX Motherboard

Well, aside from what mel said, you should take it out of the case, and although this may sound funny, sniff around the motherboard to check and see if you smell any funny smells. Sorta like a burning smell. If you catch a wiff of any smell related to that, then obviously something on the board fried and needs replacement. Also, to be honest, i have no clue why you wouldnt purchase some sort of warranty on something that is as expensive as you say it is. This just means that once something breaks or a little stupid accident happens, then you pretty much just tossed all your money out the window. PEOPLE! GET SERVICE PLANS OR WARRANTIES. Its well worth it to spend a little extra to have the product insured.. then to have it break and have no plan, and lose ALL the money you spent on it. Just doesnt make sense.

Ok well, firstly, i aint really new 2 comps... And i have had this same problem at least 8 times before (with other mobo's)... And well each time it resulted in me taking the motherboard and throwin it in the bin, then buy a new one and replace all the components onto that one... Ok well i asked this question on here cause i thought that someone else out there might just know of a way 2 fix it instead of just throwin it away... Ok, now 4 the answers, yes the screen was plugged in and on, yes i had it on the onboard vga(it has a pci-e slot but i didn't put a card in...), yes, i always only use one ram card when testin a mobo and finally also when i test it i do not plug anythin into it, not even front usb or power buttons... Ok, now the mobo gives no beeps, which means that its not the ram(i did try the mobo without and with the speaker) and like i said before, the cpu, northbridge heats up and the sysfan, cpufan and powersupply comes on.
