Post what is DVD-RAM

i know what RAM, ROM and RW mean and i know that i got a DVD-RW in my pc but in my computer it says that i got DVD-RAM and i want to know wat it is i looked on google and it didnt help

DVD-RAM is usually what big companies use 2 put their own pics on a DVD or CD... It can also be used 2 write and read cd's...
