My laptop's screen died out lately. My fan for it wasnt working but i did not think it to be a problem until this morning. whats the connection, if any.
The computer turns on, but the screen for this laptop does not. It didnt fry the video card did it?

Its in the shop as of this moment, but i am very curious about what the problem could be.

it's quite possible that you did fry the video card, or melt the solder that connects it to the motherboard. quick way to find out would be to see if an external monitor will work by using the VGA out port.

oh no, what does this mean? is the computer a loss? this laptop is one of those rigs from bestbuy, i hear that parts and any upgrades are almost nonexistent for these types of computers.

i've had it for 2 years now.

Did you get the extended warranty from bestbuy? Generally, I do not support extended warranties, but for laptops from bestbuy...

Have you tried an external monitor yet? Did it work?
