Hello grip666,
Firstly - welcome to CompuForums. We provide our computer help for free, so we would highly appreciate it if you could help us. You can do this by answering other people's questions, or if you are not so technically-minded, post in our general lounge forum. Alternatively you can purchase a premium membership to help contribute to the rising running costs of this site. If you can't help us then we can't help you. This system allows us to continue to provide free computer support.

As far as I know the tuner on your laptop is digital only, so you will have to wait for Freeview to finally come to the CI before you can get anything, I'm afraid.

Good luck with owning an Acer - my Acer laptop lasted a whole 8 months before I sent it back to the retailer under the Sales of Goods Act, and the warranty centre usually made the faults worse when I sent it in.

Acer did used to make good equipment, hence why I got one, but over the past few years since they outsourced the factories they owned, they've really gone down-hill
