Default Solid State HD - Defrag

Do I need to Defrag a Solid State HD? Will it reduce the lifetime of the drive by doing a Defrag?

I found an interesting segment about the lifespan of a solid state drive (SSD):

SSD Write Limit [EeeUser Eee PC Wiki]

According to this, it wouldn't necessarily make much difference unless you did it a lot.

Also, my understanding of SSDs is that they can access multiple parts of the drive with the same efficiency (unlike standard drives that have a record arm moving back and forth). I'm not sure that file fragmentation has any affect on an SDD.

Normally a defrad is not necessary on a solid state, but doing it once a month couldn't hurt. It could actually increase performance. But, as Brian5000 said, they can access multiple parts without affecting any of the performance.
