Apple make Stupidly thin laptop

Check out this laptop, its amazingly thin, definetly the thinnest laptop I have seen check it out for yourselves Apple's 'impossibly thin' MacBook Air getting all the buzz, both good and bad

Cool looking! I'd buy one just to say I bought one. I have nothing against apple, but I perfer alaptop that if accidently dropped, it won't shatter in little peices.

The new eee has a bigger screen and is rumoured at around $500-600... we'll have to wait for launch though.

B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L

The MacBook Air is just as much a work of art as a practical machine, and of course it has OSX which is a big plus, the support of Apple, the base of Unix. I just think the price tag is too high, else I'd definately get one to replace my iBook. The lack of a CD Drive doesn't bother me, I can use my iMac's cd drive (H).

MACs SUCK!!! i hate everything about them. the only reason i have anything related to apple anywhere near me is becuase for school they use macs becuase theres like 3 viruses in the entire planet that were written for macs and youd have to be struck by lightning 3 times before you would get it on your mac. Also, i like ther ipods and stuff rofl!! but other than that, if there was a table with a gun, and a MAC next to it and i had to either use the MAC or commit suicide... id grab the gun, make the MAC explode into tiny peices and then shoot myself.

hmm... Something is telling me that your not too keen on Macs

And personlay, I think Mac need to concentrate less on how it looks,and make sure it all runs fine. My bro went on one, and within 10 seconds of being on it, it had crashed so badly, even the reset button didn't work...

yep, this is defenetly so like MAC. Not only do they need to worry about function, but they need to worry about quality. Their computers need to stop wiggin out everytime someone does something a little out of context. My freinds MAc laptop was working fine for like the first or second week she had it, but then her safari stoped working, she also wasnt able to download anything w/o her getting an error from safari for the select times that it allowed her to open it. So the way i fixed this was, she already had AIM downloaded, so i sent her a firefox MAC edition setup file, i installed on her laptop and then she was fine and everything was back to normal. Although its fine now, im sure some problems will arise in the future only becuase she couldnt use safari.

I played about on the MAC Air, its horrible, I didnt like the keys and when you open it up you feel as if you are going to break, as its more thinner than when its closed, of course. Overall i was disapointed

And it's all about doing something no one has done before...or doing it to a further extreme. Let's see who can make the smallest/biggest/fastest/strongest/more durable/prettiest/sleekest, etc, etc, etc. I don't find any real reason to have something that thin, so I'll pass and let others flock to it.
