Default Halocomputers

Has anyone ever configured/built a computer with Halo. They are based in Oklahoma. Recommended on another forum. The site is user friendly and the components are up to date with what seem to be good prices. I'm looking to spend around 1100 and have been able to come up with a intel 6600 quad,320gb hard drive, nvidia 256mb 8600 o/c,wireless card, dvd burner,dvd-rom soprano case with 580 sli-ready p/s. Motherboard from ECS is sli ready holds 8gb mem and seems to have everything I would want. Very expandable. Any opinions? Thanks.

Hello nyjets011269,
Firstly - welcome to CompuForums. We provide our computer help for free, so we would highly appreciate it if you could help us. You can do this by answering other people's questions, or if you are not so technically-minded, post in our general lounge forum. Alternatively you can purchase a premium membership to help contribute to the rising running costs of this site. If you can't help us then we can't help you. This system allows us to continue to provide free computer support.

Why not order the parts and build the system yourself? It is likely that you'll save a lot of cash in the process, which could be used to buy even better components or saved for future upgrades.

Ash has a good point there. I was going to buy a ready built one but then I decided that I was going to make it myself and I shoped about on these price comparrison sites and I turned out to be about £500 - £600 cheaper if I made it myself, my advice would be the same as Ash's.

Good luck with your decision

Default Buying a computer

I know it would cost less, but while my knowledge of parts is good, I am not as technically sound and would just rather have it be built. Thanks.

Congratulations on a great season. It's "only" been 38 years since the J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets won it. Take care.
