Leesiep,
I've not used any of that style printer, so I cannot help you. But I'll look into it when I have some time.

Okay, now that I have a little time. Some Questions.
1) What OS are you using?
2) What Driver version are you using (If you need, ask, we'll show you how to find out)
3) Have you checked all the physical connections?
4) Have you updated the driver with the latest Epson has to offer?
5) How old is the printer?
6) Is it making any unusual noises?
7) Is there anything in the queue that is holding up the printer? (cancel the jobs?)
8) I don't know about continuous ink, but is there plenty of ink (odd question, it appears)
9) Is the paper inserted correctly?
10) Is the paper of the correct weight (thickness)?
More as I learn about the printer in a bit.
It's later: Below is a user's comments, it mentions 2 counters, The second counter (maintenance) is the one I'm curious about right now. It also mentions some patches to correct for this "quirk". You (or I or We) can find the utilities IF they prove to be the reason for your lack of a working printer, till then, we'll explore all avenues)
Great budget printer, with quirks

OK. you've read the other reviews, now the real deal. R310, great photos, you do need to tweak the color balance until you're happy (use on of the printer test photos of the Net). Less than perfect text, fine really, I'm just a bit picky. Annoying ink out counter in the cartridges, readily bypassed with a $15 resetter. Even more annoying 'maintenance' counter, stops the printer working after 10 or so ink refills. Bypass with the FREE SSC Service Utility (download off the Net). On the whole very pleased, I knew about the counters and how to bypass them before I bought.
