mine cost 1500, but need new psu. and i think its a pretty good machine. man, i got this quad process 2.4GHz for 280, which i think is a steal, cause i've heard of overclocking it to 3.4 easily.

yeah, it'll be easy to overclock it to 3.4, but will you have the cooling capabilities? cause if your still on stock cooling, you got another thing coming
