I'm thinking of buying a new comp new everything giving my old comp to my dad which he will use only for work stuff

here is a list of what i have so far for the new comp please comment on the parts + add your recommendations.

i will be using the comp to play games like crisis and other high gfx demand games and maybe video recording game play etc

MOBO Gigabyte P35-DS3P

CPU INtEL Q6600? should i get quad or dual? dual core celeron? what do you think?

RAM 4G Kit-667 (2x2G) Kingston?
what HD do you guys think are good? and how much gigs should i get?
VIDEO 512MB 8800GT? what does Generic or branded mean?
DVD/RW
CASE & PSU SONATA III
PSU - antec neopower 500w - seasonic 55w?

what monitor should i get? friends say LCD viewsonics 22" are good but which model?

KEYBOARD & MOUSE?

i have a viewsonic montior 22" which has done me fine with no problems. Oh and if you can afford it go with quad core. But what operating system are you planning on using? because (correct me if im wrong people) windows xp does not make practical use of quad core processors.
