Okay, so I finally talked myself into building a new computer to replace my 5 year old system. Don't ridicule all of my choices, please.

i wouldnt ridicule, you have made some good choices. I wish I could go out and upgrade my pc, but for now im stuck with this old bag of bones from the stone ages.

Well, I got everything but the CD burner.

Now, for a quick lesson.

All electronic equipment runs on smoke. This is a non-renewable resource, and electronic equipment is very efficient with its recycling. Releasing the smoke causes that bit of equipment to become totally useless.

Now guess what I did.

In my build, I did NOT let any of the smoke out. Tomorrow when I get home, I'll install the last part (will arrive tomorrow) (and being careful not to release the smoke). Then I will go into the bios and start tinkering. Finally, I will start to install my OS's
