| Well, the thing is 10 plugs drawing say, 200 watts, is much more green than a couple drawing 500 watts each. I use two plugs - one for my modem router, and one for my laptop [s]. My eee PC [when I get it back from the retailer] just uses around 23 watts. Should I want to print something, I'll just have 2 plugs in. Of course, a regular desktop PC tends to use much more power.

| Remember when you are straightening wires... Run them parallel or cross them at 90 degrees (right angles). These two cause the least Electro magnetic interference. Crossing at other angles causes the wires to impede each other, and could cause them to overheat (even slightly) shortening their life at the least, causing a fire at the worst. If you check your NFC-NEC (The National Electric Code, is a subset of the National Fire Code here in the U.S.), you will see it requires any wires which cross should do so at right-angles as well. many homes are poorly wired, because it saves on the wire that must be bought. Also, if you roll your cables (coil), a 4-inch diameter is the rule of thumb, as that is not so tight as to ruin the insulation, or to have the wires act as a transformer. |
