Default Reliable business desktop

Great forum.

Before I go on, I am no computer wiz so O will keep it nice and simple.

I have now had three Dell Vostro 400 PC's. All have died within days and have been full of problems. All other PC's I have got from Dell in the past have been great.

So, this is my question. What is generally the most reliable desktop for a small business. I run a website and dela with quite a lot of sales, and I want to use it for RAW picture files.

I was thinking of an OptiPlex, but I have also read bad things about those.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Kris

Hello Kris,
Firstly - welcome to CompuForums. We provide our computer help for free, so we would appreciate it if you could help us. You can do this by answering other people's questions, or if you are not so technically-minded, post in our general lounge forum. Alternatively you can purchase a premium membership to help contribute to the rising running costs of this site, particularly where we are helping you with your business computers. If you can't help us then we can't help you.

I would personally suggest a HP machine. All of my HP machines have been reliable and they just keep on running for years without a hitch. Dell on the other hand have mixed reviews and quality varies from machine to machine.

If you could let us know what country and county you are in, we can maybe find a few machines that would suit your requirements

Hi Ash,

I will certainly help out with chatting in the forum and help if and where I can. Ino expert in any field but have been in enough issues to know the answer to some problems. I did consider an HP machine but I'm not too sure where is best to get one from. When I have the new offices set up I may well grab a premiun account as im sure a few more issue will pop up!

Im in Essex UK by the way.

Cheers
Kris

If you have a Staples store near you - they sell quite a few HP machines and generally won't try and sell you something you don't need like some of the other stores [i.e PC World]. I've brought 3 HP machines from them over the years and all have been fine. And if yours isn't, their returns policy is generally quite good too.
