I am married with kids and the whole family plays world of warcraft online, I normally have 7 to 8 computers running 24/7.
I have an old rackmount server case that I would love to put to use and get rid of all these computers which normally generates a $350 electric bill.
All eight computers are used for gaming(60%), work/business (25%) and recreation/surfing(15%)....yes everyone in my hosehold has their own system.

Please give me some ideas on hardware for the most cost effective setup and minimal number of machines yet support up to 8 users who all play World of Warcraft online....i am willing to dedicate a closet to my rackmount case and hardwire lan jacks throughout the house....and i'm a total noob with linux...
