Default Best setup for video editing??????

I need to build a system to edit video with Adobe Premiere Pro CS3, and would like to know what Motherboard, CPU and Video Card setup would work the best.

I have considered the Phenom or the Q6600 so far as well as the Radeon HD 3870 video card. That is the price range I am looking at, around $250 per item or so.

Also is the Spider platform something to consider or should I go Intel, I have always used AMD in the past.

Thanks for the help,

James

Well first of all the Q6600 is out of your price range, but if you can afford to go with it I would. I personally would go with the nvidia 8800 videoGTS for video a good ASUS board.

Default Upgrade

Yeah, I am leaning towards the Q6600 and am still researching the Video cards. I guess whichever video card, mobo, CPU combo works best together. I will check out the items you are suggesting. I appreciate all of your help.

Thanks,

James
