Hello pileish,
Firstly - Welcome to CompuForums. We provide our assistance free of charge, in return for some of your time. We would appreciate it if you could take a few moments to help other members here or just post in our off-topic forums. If you cannot do this, consider a premium membership to help pay for rising server costs. If it is not possible for you to do any of these things then we are unable to help you.

Have you tried another monitor with the computer, or have you tested that the monitor works okay with other computers? It could be that your monitor is broken.

Yes, I have tried a different monitor with my new computer as well as trying a different computer w/ this monitor.

The monitor works. Could it be a power supply issue?

It could, but I would bet more on the video card. Can you test it with a system you know works?

If you have more than one stick of ram, try it with one at a time to see if it boots.

Pull the video card out , and then try the onboard , if the video card is in the slot when you plug it onto the onboard it usually wont work

I'm having the same problem, though I'm not sure at al if I got the wiring right. The only wire coming from my vid card is the PCI connector which goes to the PSU connector. Non of my USB ports on my motherboard seem to be working since I tried using a reciever for my mouse and keyboard with no luck. Is there a jumper I have to set or did I just wire something wrong? I'm using a hard drive from my previous computer with an OS already on it, do I have to wipe the hard drive on it in order for it to work? The monitor I know is working since Ive used it before. I appreciate any hel since Im desperate at this point.

Maybe you could start by reading the rules you agreed to when you registered here and following them

ZeroWing, Please create your own thread. There are answers, but this is a classic example of thread hijacking, and the reason that Ash deleted your previous post. If your statements had a response that would help the OP, then great, however, yours is asking for help on a similar (apparently) situation. Thus, it deserves its own thread, and the OP deserves the respect to have his/her questions answered first.
