| For $99 extra, you could get a Mac. They come with all the software you could want for making movies and multimedia. Plus you can still run Windows on them.

| I really like Lenovo laptops for students. I got one this past summer after I graduated from high school and it was great for writing papers, doing power point presentations and doing Internet research throughout my first semester. I also received a lot of compliments from people who had laptops but really wanted an IBM/Lenovo. It is still is the most respected name out there in my opinion and they live up to the reputation.

| Yes - if you want a solid Windows laptop, IBM is the way to go. However you so have to pay a premium for quality, but many Lenovo notebooks have things like spill proof keyboards. If you want to save money and get something portable, you could get an eeePC [and an external hard drive], but it may not be for you.
