Hi again coll_gt3,

Welcome back to the forum - I hope to see you here more often in the future! We ask that you give help or just post in the off topic forums, as well as receive help.
Sounds good to me but you'll probably be able to get a better laptop at that amount from another manufacturer such as HP. Where do you live and what currency are those prices in?

It's still more expensive, no matter how much you pay per month.
This notebook is similar to what you've found but it's a whole lot cheaper:
Play.com (UK) : Hewlett Packard Pavilion GZ974EA / AMD Athlon 64 X2 TK53 / 2GB / 160GB / DVD-SM / 15.4" / Vista Home Premium / Laptop / Notebook : PC - Free Delivery
And just for your information, if you only post in your own help threads then you will not get any replies.

You can even check out Dell's outlet for new or refurbished systems. That is where I got my Optiplex and it was much, much cheaper. Has the same warranty as brand new systems.

Well, if you want a ghost of a chance at playing any of the latest games, this laptop is not for your. The integrated graphics really hinder it massively. I'd suggest getting a laptop that actually has its own GPU.

Well if you are on a budget you have to start somewhere. For $600 to $800 you still may not be able to play the LASTEST GAMES. Ash may a very good point, if not get the best you can for now and upgrade later.

Yes, but the problem with that laptops dont have much you can upgrade which is why for gaming I recommend a desktop for gaming.

Yes. I agree with you 100% but, remember the thread "desktop has to go to make room in the living room". Thus they want a laptop!!!
