| Im planning to buy an affordable Television for my room this holiday season. If I don't see any amazing sales on boxing day Im probably going to buy this. The Olevia 323V, don't be fooled by a brand which you may not know about since their known for making quality televisions as you can see this one got great reviews. Olevia 323V LCD Display - 23" Olevia 323V LCD Display - 23", 1366x768, 8ms, 1600:1 Contrast Ratio, HDMI, Speakers, Stand, No-Tuner in Canada at TigerDirect.ca Im also looking for an affordable graphics card to play some PC games on and this one has caught my attention. The 8600GTS. The only problem is I might have to buy a new power supply for this card. I believe it will fit in my small Dell since it's no 8800GTS and that should barley fit, if at all in my tower. Im hoping the price will also drop on this by boxing day (canadian equivalent to black friday) and Im hoping it will be 160$ at least. That sounds more than reasonable enough for a boxing day sale, it should be cheaper than that. EVGA GeForce 8600 GTS Video Card EVGA GeForce 8600 GTS Video Card - FREE Enemy Territory: Quake Wars PC Game, 512MB GDDR3, PCI Express, SLI Ready, Dual DVI, HDTV, Video Card 512-P2-N773-AR in Canada at TigerDirect.ca Tiger Direct Info Video YouTube - EVGA GeForce 8600 GTS Graphics Card This Olevia Television has Inputs for a monitor,The graphics card is able to hook up to the Television (not completely sure if it can). Im also hooking up a Xbox 360 to the Television along with the the audio components hooking up to a Logitech x540 Speaker system. I doubt there will be a problem with that except the wires being able to reach it. My computer is a Dell 5150 P4 3.2 Ghz HyperThreading HT Sigma Tell audio Driver 1 GB DDR2 Ram ATI X600 (Soon to be upgraded to the 8500GTS) Im wondering if I will beable to successfully hook everything up? Or will I need to buy some specific wires to? It has all the inputs (TV has moniter input and GFX card has TV input). Im not sure if the TV also needs the S-Video input? Since the GFX card has some S-video type input. Many of you know more about this than me so any assistance will be appreciated. One more thing, the resolution on this Flat Panel Television is 1366x768. Will the graphics card be able to increase my resolution if Im able to hook it up to the Television? Im not quiet sure what this 1366x768 means, Do they imply that this is the max resolution it can have and I won't be able to increase it beyond this in any of my games? Or is this just the max resolution for the desktop not including any PC games. Im not sure yet about all this and any input and help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. |
