wait if you can get in the bios then why are you having trouble booting from a cd/floppy?

You may even be able to reset the password from the BIOS.
If not, and if you want to use the laptop for whatever reason [I doubt it'll be too good for general usage, but it'd work great as a web server or just a light browsing machine] then you *should* be able to work fine with a new hard drive. I would however suggest that you try to boot of a Linux live CD so you know it's capable of booting.

ya i would def take some pictures of your computers bios, and try and boot from something else, and show us those pictures.

you could always try the obvious: Type random password options. I would try the common such as Password, and 1234 and such.
