| From HP's Website: We are sorry to inform you that there will be no Windows Vista support available for your HP product. Therefore your product will not work with Windows Vista. The majority of HP products not supported in Windows Vista are beyond seven years old. If you are using the Windows Vista operating system on your computer, please consider upgrading to a newer HP product that is supported on Windows Vista. HP has numerous products on the market that support Windows Vista. Last edited by directorscut; 05-22-2008 at 08:52 PM. |

| So, it became a game to see if I could get my printer to work. I want to share the steps I took. Less printers in the trash is my goal! These are the directions for getting a HP Photosmart 1115 printer to work with Vista: 1) Go to the Control Panels in Vista and Select Printers 2) Click Add A Printer 3) Choose Add Local Printer 4) Make sure Use Existing Port is selected and on the pull down menu choose Dot4_001 (Generic IEEE 1284.4 Printing Support) 5) Select HP under Manufacturer and Choose HP Photosmart 7200 on the list of Printers. 6) Click Next 7) After the installation has finished, Plug your printer into a USB slot and cross your fingers! This worked for me and I was happily surprised. If it works for you, spread the word! |
