Default For people that want to build a computer

Ok, many people come to forums to see what parts are good and decent. Some people want to have gaming rigs and others want to have just surfing the net systems. So what I have decided to do is post a thread that kind of does it all. I am going to list the different computer parts for specific systems. Starting with the Gamers Rig. (I am assuming most people have a monitor and keyboard/mouse)

Gaming Rig:
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X38-DQ6
RAM: G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500)
Harddrive: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250310AS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s
Video Card: EVGA 640-P2-N821-AR GeForce 8800GTS 640MB 320-bit GDDR3
Power Supply: OCZ GameXStream OCZ700GXSSLI ATX12V 700W
Optical Drive: LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD Burner Black IDE Model DH-20A4P-04
Case: Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower

Kind of in Between Rig:
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo e6750
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L
RAM: G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
Harddrive: Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD5000AAKS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s
Video Card: SAPPHIRE 100216L Radeon HD 3850 256MB 256-bit GDDR3
Power Supply: OCZ StealthXStream OCZ500SXS ATX12V / EPS12V 500W
Optical Drive: LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD Burner Black IDE Model DH-20A4P-04
Case: APEVIA X-Plorer ATXB8KLW-BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower

Both of these set-ups will get any one through today, it just depends how much you are willing to spend. I am sure some people will disagree with me on some parts but this is just an outline. You can stick with these parts or completely change them, I am just trying to help the people that need it. I hope you enjoyed this post.

P.S. I believe that all of these items can be purchased off of newegg.com

Well like I said it is just an outline, just trying to help people out that don't exactly know a lot about hardware

An AMD equivalent to the Q6600 would be the Phenom and a Skt AM2+ Board for the gaming rig, and for the Mid a AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ and AM2 board
