I get what your saying, but the cheapest legal full version of XP (OEM or otherwise) is $84 and Vista is $104. $20 more isn't gonna hurt me and It'll save me the headache when the next must-have, uber-awesome DirectX 10 only Vista game comes out, right? I know there are problems and the step from XP to Vista isn't as huge-tastic as '98 to XP but... idk, i'm at a loss...

I dont vista is all that bad, and I think when a new service pack gets released it will be great - it looks great and doesn't cause any performance problems, I used to hate it when I was a BETA tester, but both this system and the last one run it great!

The real question here is there anything in xp that you need that isnt in vista lmao... vista drops some things that some users enjoy. might want to check that out.

Depends which version you get. if your getting windows vista home basic you might as well stick with XP whatever home or pro...
