Hi Guys,
Im having trouble finding a decent product specification list for the Compaq V6254EA Ive just bought but not yet received. I approached HP website and they kindly sent me a link but it was for the V6264EA! Its good cos it gives hardware, software specs.

Aslo, just for my peace of mind, it defenitely is wireless enabled isnt it?

And generally, is this a good choice of laptop? Its mainly going to be used for surfing, Email, photos adn Word/Excel/Sage sort of stuff?

From what i've seen from the pics and product specs on the web, it does not appear to be wireless(for some odd reason... it appears to be fairly new!) However, without having better pics or one in my hands, i would not be able to give you a definite answer.

Thanks. I think I acted too hastily. I assumed it was wireless but then got suspicious when I couldnt see any details of it on the limited specs they publish on dixons and others websites.
I think Ill wait until it arrives, if its not wireless, I have 7 days grace to change my mind and return it.

I personally wouldn't suggest buying from Dixons. However, as the laptop comes with Core2Duo, I would be very surprised if it didn't have wireless.

Well, Im confused now. I must admit, I did assume it would have wireless but then why dont they mention it on the specs? Thats why Im trying to find a more detailed specs list.

I think that it's probably because wireless is expected on laptops these days, people expect it and so it's not listed on the specs sheet.
Looking around on the HP/Compaq website, there are wireless driver downloads listed for it - so you can pretty much guarantee you've got Wifi

Hey, no need to apologize,thanks for your help.... I finally found it by googling for 'V6254ea wireless' - bit of luck really.

pdwheeler - if you don't mind, it would be nice if you could post in a thread or two that isn't your own or become a premium member - doing so keeps this site open. Since it is solved, I shall now lock this thread.
