Default replacing OS

i have been doing some upgrading to my kit/rig, i now have an 8800GTX, E6600, 2GB of ddr2 667 ram, thermaltake 750W modular PSU, Nxzt LEXA blackline, etc...

i had (well, still have) 2x 160GB HDD SATAII, and i have windows XP home 32bit installed, and about 30mins ago i purchased 2x 150GB WD raptors 10KRPM.
my question to you is, can i take out the 2x 160GB drives i currently have installed (literally take them out the case), and put in my new raptors (literally put them in the case, and hook them up), and install windows professional 64bit on the raptors? and then get someone to wipe the 2x 160GB drives completely, and use them in another rig, then installing vista 32bit on that other rig (using the 160GB drives)?

feel free to ask any questions about the question above, i am bad at explaining things...

thanks for any help, it would be greatly appreciated..

As long as you can get the drivers for all of your hardware, that wouldn't be a problem. Plus, you can wipe the drives yourself, even just during the Vista install [if you REALLY think that Vista is worth running]. If you want to give the drives to someone else though, you'll want to look into securely wiping the drives.
