Default PC problems.

First, welcome to CompuForums. It's a pleasure to help and and answer your questions.

However, I would strongly encourage you to be more clear and specific with your post title. I believe you are to say "My PC, I hate it". I'll be back to edit this post as soon as I edit the Thread Title.

To answer your question, you cannot run a computer unless your mouse is plugged in.

That being either a PS/2 or USB mouse. If you really don't want to use a mouse, you can change this option in CMOS, if it will allow -- but not recommended. The "Run/Detect Without Mouse/Keyboard" option is available in most CMOS BIOS startup options, but not all.

Next, as for your PC freezing up when left idle, change your Power and Screensaver settings. This can be accomplished from your Control Panel, Display Options.

To help further, what Operating System (e.g. Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Vista) are you using?

Please post back.

Hi there borisagrees,
Firstly, welcome to CompuForums. I hope that you can visit our forum often in the future and post - rather than just receiving our help and advice, and then never visiting again. We provide our help for free, and all we ask in return is that you participate in our forum and refer your friends, or consider a premium membership.
What have you tried in order to fix the problem so far? Have you recently changed your mouse? How long have you been having these problems? How old is the computer and is it still under warranty?

Would you be able to run Memtest86 [ Memtest86.com - Memory Diagnostic ] on your computer? This might be down to faulty RAM and Memtest will prove or disprove this.
